Expanding Our Horizons
Ezibu Muntu has sustained the dream that our founders established from an initial donation by Virginia Commonwealth University in 1973. This financial support sponsored the company’s brilliant genesis of bringing into existence a community-based entity that would expose thousands of citizens to rich African culture, history and values, while fostering children’s ability to dream. In addition, it provided the opportunity to experience sacred, enriching and uplifting community activities to inspire people to find joy in belonging to a heritage of richness and majesty.
After 50 years of impacting the community through dance, education and culture, Ezibu Muntu is naturally transitioning to the next level, and we need your help. Consider donating to our cause, so that we may continue to impact thousands more for another 50 years.

Our weekly community West African Dance Classes are held every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00pm at our NEW dance studio location, 1606 Ownby Lane, Richmond, VA 23220.
Our classes offer adults and youth ages 3+ an opportunity to explore and learn more about West African culture through dance, song, drum, & fun. Bring a friend and let's get moving!
